Most of
the new stuff is in the blog
I put this site together
mostly to play around and experiment with asp.net. For lame content like I have on this
site I do not see much advantage of asp.net over simple html. I am using Visual Web Developer
Express and I don’t really like it.
I miss Front Page. If I were to do
any major site with lots of content I would go with a database backed website.
See Phil's book below. It is a bit dated but the concept still applies.
If you don't want to buy the book you can
read it for free on his
website.
I also wanted my own email
account that I could manage myself and not have to worry about telling all my
friends that my email address was changing just because I change internet
providers. I thought I was all set
years ago when I first setup a hotmail account then Microsoft wanted me to pay
money for the privilege of being able to access my account through Outlook. I also don’t have to worry about them
deleting my account if I am inactive for 30 days.
(yea that happened too one time and I lost a bunch of mail)
